Being a grandfather was never so rough!

When they were young men in the Army, they competed for the same woman. Now, they’re competing for her granddaughter! This zany, off-beat comedy begins when struggling photographer Charley Dunbar (Art Carney) and aging cabaret singer Nick Carlant (David Niven) are summoned to Monte Carlo and informed they’ve “inherited” little Bridget, a newly wealthy, precocious 10 year old with the vocabulary and self-awareness of a grown woman. Because of a war-time menage-a-trois, either man could be her grandfather and she must now decide which one will raise her. While she’s making up her mind, they get to live opulently aboard her yacht and idle away golden afternoons at her Riviera villa. It should be the time of their lives. But they’re not quite prepared for Bridget, who’s more child-woman than they can possibly handle.
